Today is a special day for Ms Lola Omotayo, the long-time girlfriend of Peter Okoye of P-Square.
Lola Omotayo, the mother of Peter’s two sons (Aliona and Cameron) got a surprise proposal from her lover few hours ago.
The romantic singer surprised his soon-to-be wife today after parking a brand new range rover SUV infront of their house with a diamond engagement ring.
When Lola eventually came out, she accepted his proposal.
Insiders claim the lovers plan to get married in the early quarter of next year.
Congrats to Lola at last her patience has paid off.

Police detain woman for tearing maid’s private part with razor

A middle aged woman, simply identified as Uchenna is cooling her feet at the Onitsha Police Area Command for breaking her maid’s hand and tearing her private part with razor blade. Saturday Sun gathered that the woman allegedlly used a pestle to break her maid’ left hand and inflicted very deep cuts in her private part with a razor blade in the commercial city of Onitsha
The incident took place at Osuma Street where the victim, Chisom Nwafor is living with her mistress before she was attacked by the suspect. Narrating her ordeal, Chisom, a 10 year old girl from Enugu-Abo in Enugu State said her mistress returned to the house last Sunday morning and started beating her and used razor blade on her private parts. “I was changing her daughter’s dress because she urinated on it.
My madam entered and started shouting on top of her voice and she immediately rushed into the kitchen and collected pestle and hit me severally on my back and she hit me again and broke my left hand, I fell and she entered her room and took a razor blade, tore my pant and started tearing my private part after which she poured pepper inside my private part which was bleeding” she said. Speaking on the incident, the Onitsha Area Commander, Benjamin Wordu described the incident as highest level of inhumanity and said the suspect would pay for her actions.
Mr. Wordu warned parents to always give birth to children they can train instead of giving them out to such women he described as devil incarnates who maltreat vulnerable children under their care. Meanwhile, the suspect, Uchenna shouting from the police cell, denied using razor blade on the victim when this reporter visited the police station.

August 3rd, 2013 - 7 Nollywood Globacom Ambassadors Dropped (Uche Jombo, Rita Dominic, Ramsey Nouah, Odunlade Adekola & Others)
Nigeria’s telecommunication giant Globacom has dropped seven of her ambassadors in the Nollywood movie industry.
This year, Glo plans to sign more singers than movie stars.
As we speak, Uche Jombo, Odunlade Adekola, Rita Dominic, Mike Ezuruonye, Ramsey Nouah, Monalisa Chinda & Nonso Diobi have received their contract termination letter.
They were sent an email few hours ago to proceed to Glo’s legal department in order to pick up their contract termination letter.
According to Glo insiders, most of these movie stars might not have checked their emails for their contract termination notice but they have been dropped.
In the past, Kunle Afolayan and other Yoruba movie stars also got dumped by the popular telecommunication firm.
Funke Akindele, Ini Edo, Desmond Elliot & Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha are the only Nigerian movie stars staying with Globacom for the next year or so.
Well as the saying goes, when one door closes, another one will open.
Wishing these movie stars success in their careers.
Termination of contract is not the end of the world.
All of them are doing well in their career.
They will succeed whether Glo sign them or not.

The luxury SUVs, which were specially made for the Alakija boys, were quietly brought into the country a few weeks back.
Each is said to have cost at least N22mllion, minus shipping.
Mrs Alakija is said to be worth about $600m (as of 2012) and makes about $1m daily from her oil business. She also has a real estate portfolio worth over $100 million.

27-year-old man killed by his friend
A 27-year-old man was killed by his friend, weekend, over the ownership of a mobile phone charger.
The tragedy occurred at Isapodo area of Ijebu-Ife, in Ijebu North-East Local Government Area of Ogun State on Sunday.
The victim, Mr Dele Oje, described as an easy going person by his neighbours, was said to have been allegedly killed by his friend, simply identified as Muyideen after the latter requested for a phone charger from the former.
Investigations revealed that Oje had earlier argued with his friend over who owned the charger minutes before he was killed.
Shortly before his death, an argument had ensued between the duo, prompting neighbours in the two-storey building to intervene.
Unfortunately, the neighbours had barely left the scene of the argument, when Dele’s friend descendedon him as the deceased attempted to have his breakfast and slashed his throat with a sharp object.
A neighbour of the deceased who did not want to be named, narrated what she described as an unfortunate incident, said: “We had earlier settled a seeming quarrel between the friends over the ownership of a telephone charger when Muyideen killedhis friend’’.
‘We got there later only to seeblood stains on the wall and floor of the building, an indication that Oje had attempted to escape from his assailant’’.
Another resident who identified himself as AbayomiOyeyemi also said that after the murder, Muyideen fled only to be fished out in a near-by bush, three hours after.
The body has been deposited at the Ijebu-Ode General Hospital mortuary while Muyideen who was arrested by the youths in the community had been handed over to police at the Ogbere division.
The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Muyiwa Adejobi, who said he was yet to be briefed by the Ogbere Divisional Police Officer, added that he did nothave details of the incident.
